Culture and Perception in International Dispute Resolution: Exploring Mediation, Ad Hoc Arbitration, and Limits of Consent

by Russian Women in Arbitration

29 August 2025, Friday

14:00 – 16:00

WongPartnership LLP

Russian Women in Arbitration (RWA) invites you to a panel discussion on the impact of culture on international dispute resolution.

With speakers from Russia and Asia, this event will explore how domestic traditions shape mediation use, arbitration preferences, and party autonomy. As global disputes grow more complex, understanding how different jurisdictions interpret fairness, legitimacy, and autonomy is critical. The discussion highlights RWA’s commitment to diversity and the importance of bridging legal systems through dialogue and inclusion.

The panel discussion will be followed by a networking reception.
